The Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Joint Base Lewis McChord to help collect toys for military families in need. There are six drop-off locations throughout town where you can donate a new unwrapped toy. The Gig Harbor Chamber, Tickled Pink, and Subway all have boxes waiting to be filled! Don’t wait too long because the deadline to drop off a toy is Thursday, December 5th.

Santa’s Castle is a large building located at JBLM that can be compared to a mini Toys R US where aisles are filled with toys separated by age. In order to have access to Santa’s Castle a solider E-4 and below are identified by their commanding officer as a family who could use the help this holiday season.

Historically, the Gig Harbor Chamber has collected toys for JBLM’s Santa’s Castle through their Annual Awards Dinner in December. As part of admission each attendee has to bring a new unwrapped toy with them to the event. However, this year the Gig Harbor Chamber would like to surpass the number of toys collected last year and give the Gig Harbor Community the opportunity to help give back to those who do so much for us.
